Our first Community Coffee for 2019 took place on Thursday. We had a packed house with over 60 leaders in area businesses and nonprofits in attendance. We also introduced our newest member to the Highland Village family, Fire Chief Michael Thomson. Assistant City Manager Ken Heerman explained and provided the City’s proposed compromise to SB2/HB2.

City Manager's Weekly Update

We hosted Denton County Commissioner Bobbie Mitchell and the Precinct 3 Transportation meeting on Monday. Attendees included mayors, council members, city staff, and franchise utility companies from the cities located in Precinct 3. Topics covered at these quarterly meetings range from coordinated county and municipal street reconstruction projects to TxDOT Farm to Market projects that fall within Precinct 3.

Salerno’s Italian Restaurant located at 2250 Justin Road, Suite 130 is now open! After announcing they would be moving to Highland Village, co-owners (and cousins) Morris and Mike Salerno remodeled the old Village Grill space to fit their needs and open it up more for their clientele. They will begin construction on Phase II soon that will include a patio. The family owned Italian restaurant serves pasta, pizza, bread, and dessert.
