We held our Copperas Branch Park Master Plan Kick Off meeting on Thursday evening. Brad Moulton with La Terra Studios facilitate the presentation and group brainstorming. We had nearly 50 people attended to provide their big ideas on how the park should be developed. A big thank you to CoServ for bringing out their Snackin’ Wagon and providing BBQ sandwiches, beans, coleslaw, and cookies for all of those in attendance.

We all had a good laugh and felt less stressed after the HVBA luncheon on Tuesday. Our guest speaker, Lyndy Phillips, delivered on his promise to show us how to stress less and laugh more. We had over 65 people attend the luncheon and heard so many great comments on how Lyndy’s presentation was just what they needed. We can all look around and find something to laugh about which will help relieve stress and improve our health.

Laurie Mullens attended the Government Social Media Conference (GSMCON) in Nashville this week. The conference had over 900 attendees from cities, counties, states, state, and federal agencies. Representatives from Facebook, Twitter, and Nextdoor were in attendance leading sessions on the latest tips and tools available for government use.
