I attended the DCTA Budget Workshop on Thursday morning. The DCTA budget is developed within the context of their Long Range Financial Plan, which outlines the long-term service and infrastructure needs of the agency.

The annual Unity Luncheon was held this week. Unity is a joint event put on by the Flower Mound Chamber, Lewisville Area Chamber, and the HVBA recognizing our area nonprofits. At the event, a Nonprofit of the Year is selected from three finalists. Congratulations to Ally’s Wish for being named the 2018 Nonprofit of the Year! Ally’s Wish grants wishes for terminal moms with young children. In doing so, they help the family create memories that will last a lifetime.

Mayor Wilcox, Mayor Pro Tem Lombardo, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Fleming, Council member Kixmiller, and I attended the Upper Trinity Regional Water District annual membership meeting this week. Highland Village resident, and board President, Rich Lubke facilitated the meeting and went over the opportunities for growth and development in the UTRWD.
