Holiday Safety Tips

  • Always lock vehicle doors. Never keep holiday packages and valuable items in view inside of your vehicle. Remember LOCK, TAKE and HIDE. Display a HVPD Stop Thief placard. If you don't have one just call 972-317-6551 or email and we will deliver one to you!
  • When dashing out for the holiday season, make sure the garage door is closed to prevent theft in the home. Make sure all doors and windows are locked.
  • When out after nightfall, park in well-lit areas. Walk confidently to your vehicle, have your keys in hand and check to make sure no one is hiding underneath or inside your vehicle.
  • Shop with friends or relatives- there is safety in numbers. Teach children what to do if you become separated.
