Hello, my name is Michael Nelson. I am from Denton, Texas and attended High School at Denton Ryan. Prior to my employment with Highland Village, I attended the Police Academy at Texoma Regional Police Academy and was employed as a Police Officer with Texas Woman’s University. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. My hobbies include playing sports, working on vehicles, and spending time outside with my son. I look forward to serving a supportive community and maintaining a fun and safe environment for the citizens and visitors of Highland Village.
If you ever have any questions about safety or crime please give one of us a call and we will be happy to meet with you. Our job as your AOR Officers is to monitor Area 1 for crime conducive conditions and to make certain that your questions and concerns are addressed promptly. While patrolling Area 1 we look for things such as suspicious people, suspicious vehicles, faded traffic and street signs, and children who forgot their safety helmets.
AOR 1 is located on the northwest side of Highland Village and encompasses the Northwood and Brooks Court subdivisions. AOR 1 is a very peaceful place to live and there is relatively little traffic, except for the intersection of Village Parkway (FM 2499) and Highland Shores Blvd. In regards to crime, residents should be aware of construction near their homes and be watchful for suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods.
AOR 1 is a fun, safe and quiet place to live. Contact me if you would like more information about our AOR.
