Candidate Filings for the May 6, 2023 Election

This page contains information on candidate filings for the Highland Village General Election for the office of City Council Places 3, 5 and 7.   Applications and forms submitted by current public officials may contain redactions of information including home address and home phone number pursuant to Section 552.117 of the Texas Government Code, as amended by House Bill 1082. 

The last day to file an application for a place on the ballot for the May 6, 2023 Election is February 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

NOTE:  Candidate filings for each place are listed in the order their application was received. 

Campaign Finance Reports - Modified reporting declaration is valid for one election cycle. An opposed candidate in an election is eligible to report under the modified reporting schedule if he/she does not intend to accept more than $1,010 in political contributions or make more than $1,010 in political expenditures in connection with an election.  Thus, the opposed candidate is not required to file pre-election reports (30th day and 8th day before an election).  

Candidates who are unopposed in an election are not required to file pre-election reports.
