- Permits are not valid until they have been paid for, picked up, and placed on the job site.
- Once a permit has been issued, construction must begin within 180 days of the issue date/permit.
- An application for a building permit is active for 180 days from the initial submittal date.
- The applicant, subject to the standard fee structure, may request an extension for an additional 180 days.
Note: Work that was performed as a result of after-hours emergency situations must be submitted for a permit the next business day.
