Keeping you notified and informed of City news, services, events, and emergencies is important to us. We have several different ways you can receive information from us so we've separated them into two categories - Routine & Emergency Alerts and City & Website Notifications.
CivicReady is a communication service that sends immediate alerts to Highland's citizens who are subscribed to the system. We have migrated our HVPD EWatch, Water Conservation, Street Construction, and Community Alert messages to the new system. If you were signed up on any of those lists, select "Already a Member" below and then "Forgot Password."
All users will have the ability to customize their notification preferences after signing up. Alerts can be sent via email, text, and/or phone call so you never miss important communication about an emergency event in the area.
Examples of routine notifications include:
- Police e-Watch messages
- Upcoming city-wide events
- Changes to trash pickup
- Water conservation
- Road closures
Examples of emergency notifications include:
- Severe weather alerts
- Missing persons
We will contact you through CivicReady in the event of an emergency or other routine events based on your subscription preferences. Below you will find signup information, recent messages sent, and available groups for you to join.

The Villager is the City's monthly newsletter that is sent to subscribers via email. The newsletter includes information on City services, news, and upcoming events.
City Manager's Report
The City Manager's Report is a weekly email sent to subscribers via email. The Report includes accomplishments and project updates from each department in the City.
