Scott McDearmont, Mayor

Scott R. McDearmont was elected Mayor in May 2010.  Dr. McDearmont began his service on the City Council in May 2006 and was re-elected in May 2008.  Additionally, Dr. McDearmont is a board certified surgeon and small business owner at Scott McDearmont MD, PA in Flower Mound. Dr. McDearmont has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

Dr. McDearmont’s past and present community service includes: Volunteer Consulting Physician, LISD, Foster Family for  Humane Society of Lewisville, Board of Directors for CASA of Denton County, Board of Directors for Community Medical Associates, and Board of Directors for Lewisville ISD Education Foundation. Dr. McDearmont serves as alternate member to the Regional Transportation Council (RTC). Dr. McDearmont has also served our city as a member of the Highland Village Community Development Board, Animal Shelter Advisory Board, and on the Board of Directors for the Highland Village Library Foundation.

Dr. McDearmont and his family have lived in Highland Village since 2002.
