Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
Powers & Duties:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall formulate and submit recommendations of park and recreation policies to the City Council. The Board shall submit to the Planning & Zoning Commission plans for land use and location of public parks with the Planning & Zoning Commission forwarding their recommendation to the City Council. The Parks Board shall propose annual parks operating requirements and a five (5) year capital plan and submit both to the City Manager no later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the final date for submission of the budget.

Five (5) members and two (2) alternates
Term:
Two years
Meetings:
Third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., or as needed, or by written request sent to the chairperson or vice-chairperson by three (3) members of the Board.
Qualifications:
- A resident of the City of Highland Village
- Qualified to be a registered voter of the City of Highland Village
