After a year of work, the city launched a new logo - the Earth, Land and Water logo. A special event for the "unwrapping" of the new logo took place on Tuesday morning at the Municipal Complex. Staff, residents and board and commission members were in attendance as Mayor Costa and myself presented the new logo. I truly believe the new logo is a mark our staff can wear with pride as a representation of the commitment and quality service we provide the residents of this city. Mayor Costa invited the four most tenured employees (Jesse Acevedo, Bill Parsons, Crisanto Perez and Sue Thompson) in attendance to help her with the "unwrapping" of the new logo. After the presentation, attendees were treated to breakfast pastries donated by Wal-Mart and coffee donated by Texas Roast as well as new logo give-away items. This budget year the vehicle decals will be replaced with the new logo as well as the stone monument at the Municipal Complex and the welcome monument at Highland Village Road off of FM 407. Other items will be replaced with the new budget and all the monument signs will be updated over the next two years. We're excited about the new logo and hope everyone wears it proudly!
