   COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

On Tuesday we held our HVBA April lunch - Have you Read Any Good Books Lately? This was a new twist on the lunch format in that we asked everyone to bring a book and share it with the group.  We had about 50 people in attendance and everyone brought a book. Dr. Gayle Sulik talked to us about the power of books, focusing on the results that have come from her book Pink Ribbon Blues. This was a successful lunch and we'll likely do this format again next year.

On Thursday Laurie Mullens and Rob Wachal spoke to the Greater Lewisville Realtor Association. Rob shared information about the new FEMA floodplain maps and how to view the information on the city website. Laurie talked about the recent developments in Highland Village and why realtors should sell Highland Village. Both were appreciated by the GLAR.
