This week IT finished the installation and configuration of the redundant storage area network. All City data, with the exception of the PD CAD systems and several miscellaneous support systems is now stored on two separate systems in two locations and kept synchronized via the high speed fiber backbone. This provides a high level of data fault tolerance, disaster recovery and availability previously unachievable for organizations of our size.
