HVAC Improvements to City Hall

The City awarded a contract for HVAC improvements at City Hall to GMR Inc. in November. This project will add return air ducts to all of City Hall and replace all 19 of the inefficient ten year old rooftop units with new high energy  efficient models. The interior duct improvements are taking place with some disruption to ongoing daily operations so visitors to City Hall will encounter some relocation of City staff from their normal locations as the staged work progresses. All City services will be maintained throughout the project. The interior phase will be completed in 30 days and the rooftop units will be set by helicopter in February.   A Federal stimulus grant of $57,000 is helping to fund the project, along with settlement monies arising from a lawsuit during  the buildings original construction.
