Highland Shores Boulevard Construction Detour Routes

Alternating sides of Highland Shores Boulevard will be closed until approximately November 23, 2009 while the roadway is being rebuilt.  Initially east bound Highland Shores at Remington Drive (West) will be closed, with only west bound traffic allowed.  A temporary three way stop will be established at Highland Shores at Briarhill Blvd.

Residents should avoid use of Briarhill Blvd as an alternate route during school zone times (7am - 9am, 2:30pm - 4:30pm) unless necessary due to anticipated heavy congestion. Through traffic should use Village Parkway (FM 2499) during these peak periods.  View Map

McAuliffe and Briarhill students are encouraged to use school buses if available or to walk, ride bikes or car pool. By all means "leave earlier" for work or school in order to avoid and help alleviate the problem.
