FM 407 Business Owners Invited to Meeting to Discuss Water Line Construction

Back To News
The Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) is planning to construct a 60-inch water line on the north side of FM 407 from approximately
Highland Forest/Morris Road
westerly to the edge of the Opus/Wal-Mart property. The line will be constructed in easements held by the UTRWD. The majority of construction will be by the open cut method however, all driveways and street intersections will be tunneled.

The project is being advertised for bids this month and construction is expected to start in December. The entire project is anticipated to take approximately eight months. The project is divided into segments with construction being completed across certain segments within a specified time. All of the segments will have specified restrictions on construction related activities to reduce their impact.

Highland Village is sponsoring an informational meeting for local businesses to learn more about the project. Upper Trinity representatives will be available to answer questions about the project.

The meeting will be at 7:00 pm September 24 in the Highland Village City Hall Council Chambers.
