Highland Village Street Department is Expected to Close the 700 block of Highland Village Road

The City of Highland Village Street Department is expected to close the 700 block of Highland Village Road this evening due to high water. The rising lake levels has caused water to begin covering the 700 block of Highland Village Road or the area across from Wichita Forest and adjacent to the area known as the Highland Village Road boat docks. Doubletree Road is the designated alternate route for residents living east of the affected area and Sellmeyer Road will serve as the alternate route to the west.

Additionally, TxDOT has closed the Garden Ridge exit off of I-35E South and the I-35E Service Road to Garden Ridge due to high water. FM 407/Justin Road is the designated alternate route.

The City will update the website as information becomes available.
