Kid Coupons
Kids will do almost anything for a treat!
This well known fact is why we started the Kid Coupon program. Kid Coupons are given to children who are wearing their bicycle safety helmets, crossing the street at designated crosswalks, and at almost any interaction between an officer and a child.
The goal of the program is to promote safe behavior among the children of our community and to increase the number of positive interactions they have with the police department.
Kid coupons are donated by local businesses and are good for treats such as a cookie from Kroger's Bakery, a slice of pizza from Palio's or Roma's Pizza, or a free ice cream cone from Village Grill.
Officers give out dozens of Kid Coupons a week and we wish to express our thanks to the local Highland Village businesses that make this program such a great success.
