Jail
HVPD manages a state-of-the-art detention facility including:
- Two primary cells (one for men and one specifically for women)
- A detoxification cell
The jail also contains its own kitchen area where meals are prepared for inmates.
All activities in our jail are recorded on the numerous video cameras throughout the facility, which protects a suspect's rights and safeguards our officers.
The Highland Village Police Department jail is not a long-term detention facility and prisoners are kept for no longer than 72 hours after which they are transferred to the Denton County Jail.
