Incident Commander

 Who is the Incident Commander?

The City of Highland Village is in compliance with the Homeland Security, National Incident Management System (NIMS).  A critical component of this program is the identification of a single person in charge (Incident Commander) throughout the management of any critical incident or emergency.

This emergency response process begins with the "First Responder" and transfers based upon the magnitude and complexity of the incident.  This process has the flexibility to progress to a full activation of the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Rest assured that there is always a Public Safety person in charge, the "Incident Commander" responsible for actively managing incidents and assessing possible threats to the safety of our community.
