Identity Theft

The Highland Village Police Department realizes the incredible hardship being a victim of Identity Theft can be on you and your family.

First and foremost, we like to focus on preventative measures.  Our goal is to educate the community on ways to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.

Avoid Identity TheftThe Federal Trade Commission website is a great place to get started to find information on reducing your risk as well as taking the necessary steps if you have already become a victim.  Take me there!

Already a Victim?  Need to file a report?

If you are the victim of a financial crime such as Identity Theft and you are resident in Highland Village, you need to download and complete the Financial Crime Self Reporting Form and then return it to the Police Department along with any supporting documents.  If you have any questions about completing this form, or need any other assistance, please do not hesitate to call.
