How Do I?

Apply for a Job

Employment listings are available at the Employment link.  You can fill out an application on-line or print the application and mail, fax or drop it by the Human Resources department at City Hall.

Apply for Boards and Commissions

Highland Village is fortunate to have residents who desire to volunteer for various Boards and Commissions. The contributions of these people are greatly appreciated! Council appoints boards and Commission members each year in October.

Get Utility Service

The City provides Water, Wastewater Service and Garbage/Recycling Service. The first step is to fill out an application which can be e-mailed, mailed, faxed or dropped off at City Hall.

Know What Requires a Permit

A list has been compiled for homeowners and contractors of frequently missed items that require permits and inspections. It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure the proper permit is secured before work begins.

Make a Complaint

There are a couple of ways you can register a complaint with the City. If you think a code has been violated, call your code enforcement officer. To notify us of general complaints, send an e-mail to cityhall@highlandvillage.org and we’ll make every effort to address your complaint through the appropriate channels in a timely manner.

Make an Open Records Request

You have a right to access public information. Open records requests are processed through the City Secretary’s Office.

Pay a Court Fine

So you got a ticket, there are several options to pay your fine.

Pay My Utility Bill

Utility bills are mailed to residents on the first of each month with payments generally due on the 20th.  You can mail your payment, drop it off at City Hall in person or in the Utility Payment Drop Box or make life simple and sign up for electronic payments.

Register My Alarm

The City requires owners of active alarm systems to register their alarm system with the Highland Village Police Department and pay a thirty-dollar ($30) permit registration fee by January 1st of each year.

Report a Street Light Outage

CoServ, the city's electricity provider, maintains the street lights in Highland Village.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers many seasonal programs for children and adults

Volunteer with the Police Department
