Highland Village Community Development Corporation

Powers and Duties: 

The Highland Village Community Development Corporation is organized exclusively for the public purposes authorized under the provisions of Section 4B of the Development Corporation Act of 1979, Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. Art. 5190.6, as amended (the Development Corporation Act) and may issue bonds on behalf of the City of Highland Village.  Specifically, the Corporation was formed by Resolution 05-1736 and is authorized to study and fund the permissible projects prescribed in the Development Corporation Act and for the promotion and development of the projects authorized in the election approving the Section 4B sales tax, specifically, the Inland Trail Public Park Master Plan Project and the Soccer Complex Amateur Sports Facility, and related water, wastewater, drainage, roads, and transportation facilities, and for the maintenance and operational costs of these projects.

Number of Members:              

Seven (7) members, with at least three (3) members of the board of directors being persons who are not City employees, officers or members of City Council (Citizen Member).  Four (4) members of the board of directors may be City employees, officers or members of City Council (“City Representative”).

·          Qualified to be a registered voter of the City of Highland Village
