Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

This is an Advisory Board to the Department of Parks and Recreation. Board members are appointed by City Council Meetings are held the third Monday of every month. Functions of the Park Board: Make a continuous study and inspection of the Parks system Follow a Master Plan for park property, structures, facilities, athletic areas or other improvements on city-owned parks Record the adoption of standards on areas, programs and financial support Recommend to the City Council, rules and regulations governing the use of facilities Advise the City staff of recommendations and reasons therefore Perform such other duties as the City Council may prescribe by ordinance.
