What are the fees charged for new water meters?

Fire Hydrant meter deposit:

$1,600 per meter. Of this amount, $25 is retained as a use fee.  Water flow rates are charged at commercial rates. Fees associated with new meters are typically due at time of building permit.

Water Meter Deposit:

Tap Fees

Water Tap  -  $250    Tapping water main to property line
Sewer Tap -  $375    Tapping sewer main to property line

Additional charges may be applicable if the City is requested to install water or sewer taps. 

Impact Fees

Impact fees are charged to new development to offset its impact on existing water and wastewater facilities. Impact fees help pay the cost of building or expanding facilities in order to provide the adequate service that a new development requires. The fee is based on the meter size and the type of service requested (water/sewer) as depicted in the attached table.
