Emergency Operations Section

 What is the Emergency Operations Section?

Our first priority is to provide a timely warning to our citizens in the event of a Severe Weather Emergency impacting our community.

In an effort to achieve this goal, the Emergency Operations Section of the Highland Village Police Department has designed an extensive Emergency Operations Response Plan to "Severe Weather Emergencies."  This plan includes:

• Immediate management oversight when the threat is identified
• Development of "Outdoor Warning Siren Activation - Decision Making Model"
• The identification of tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the first responding Emergency Manager
• Training of all First Responders
• Extensive community-wide education and awareness

We have also designed a "Severe Weather Early Warning" process that includes:

• Connect-CTY telephone alert
• Outdoor warning siren activation
• Residential and Business E-Watch alerts
