The Highland Village Police Department has established an anonymous Crime Tip Line for citizens wishing to provide information on crimes. The Crime Tip Line is an electronic voicemail system, checked regularly by a Highland Village Police Detective.
One of the advantages to the HVPD Crime Tip Line is the fact that the caller does NOT speak with anyone directly and they do not have to leave a name or number, but are encouraged to do so. The line does not have caller ID so calls can remain completely anonymous.
Should someone call and leave information concerning a crime or criminal activity outside the City of Highland Village, that information will be directed to the agency it needs to go to.
The department’s goal in providing this service is to obtain information on criminal activity that is unattainable through conventional methods, and to assist the department in investigating criminal activity that might otherwise go unsolved.
Citizens are reminded that they should call 9-1-1 for in-progress crimes or crimes which have just occurred. The Highland Village Police Crime Tip Line number is 972-317-TIPS (8477).
