City Parks
Residents of Highland Village are relatively young and actively utilize the amenities the city offers including extensive trails, parks, sports fields and water sports. The City of Highland Village has a beautiful park system with a broad range of amenities to enjoy from swimming with the kids, playing baseball or soccer to camping or boating.
Major parks within the City of Highland Village include:
Copperas Branch Park - a 75 acre regional park leased from the US Army Corps of Engineers and located on the shoreline of Lake Lewisville.
Pilot Knoll Park - a 123 acre regional park leased from the US Army Corps of Engineers and located on the west shoreline of Lake Lewisville. The park provides overnight camping for recreational vehicles, as well as facilities for day-use.
Unity Park - at 38 acres, this is the City's community park. The park contains softball/baseball fields, tennis courts, an in-line hockey court, soccer fields, a small pond, fishing pier and Kids Kastle playground as well as many other amenities.
