The Board of Ethics shall have the authority to render advisory findings as to the application of Standards of Conduct listed in Ordinance 07-1025 at any time at the request of an official of the City of Highland Village. The Board of Ethics shall have the authority to issue subpoenas for witnesses and obtain documents needed to investigate complaints. The findings of the Board of Ethics shall be referred to City Council in writing and shall require a vote of the majority of the Board's entire membership and shall contain conclusions with appropriate recommended actions.
Five (5) members, with a minimum of three (3) members being citizens at large. The Board may consist of representative board members of other city boards, commissions, and committees.
Two years
Held at the call of the Chairperson, semi-annually or as necessary to act on a complaint.
