Austin Adams

Austin Adams was elected to City Council in May 2005 and re-elected in 2007. Prior to his recent election, Mr. Adams previously served as a Council member from 1985-1989, and as Mayor from 1998-2000.

Mr. Adams is a Financial Planner with LPL Financial. Mr. Adams has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wittenberg University and a Masters Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Adams also holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional.

Mr. Adams has served on the following boards and committees: Denton County Water and Wastewater Steering Committee, Upper Trinity Regional Water District, Kids' Kastle Community Playground Project, Leadership Lewisville, and Highland Village Parks Foundation. Mr. Adams currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Highland Village Community Development Corporation and was recently appointed to the Texas Municipal League Utilities and Transportation policy committee.

Mr. Adams, wife Karen, son Austin and daughter Katherine have lived in Highland Village since 1980. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Flower Mound.
