Record rainfall amounts in our area have caused the closing of several of our parks due to flooding. Edgewater Drive is closed due to rising Lake levels, which has caused us to close all access to Sunset Point Park and the Lewisville Lake vicinity. Highland Village Police will be monitoring the area for safety. Pilot Knoll Park boat ramp, day use area, and several campsites are closed. Copperas Branch Park boat ramp is also closed.

This week was the Texas Municipal League (TML) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Fort Worth. It was an opportunity for all Highland Village attendees to attend classes ranging from Small Cell Node Technology “5G,” Your Social Media Detractors, Harassment and Discrimination, 2019 Legislative Outlook, Brick and Mortar Retail Not Dead Just Evolving, and Flood Mitigation.

City Manager's Weekly Update

We are excited to host our 11th Annual TXFallenPD Tribute Event on October 20 at The Shops at Highland Village. Since the beginning, the TXFallenPD Tribute Event has been a community event raising funds for the Texas Police Chiefs Association’s Fallen Officer Fund, which provides monetary assistance to the families of Texas Police Officers killed in the line of duty. There are multiple ways that you can get involved.
