Professional chefs recommend using fresh herbs to achieve the best flavor when preparing your favorite dishes. Luckily for North Texans most culinary herbs can be grown successfully here in gardens, containers, and even distributed among landscape plants. Once established, most herbs are pest resistant and require little supplementary water. Evergreen herbs such as rosemary and thyme can be harvested year-round and annual herbs like basil love our summer heat. Join us for a presentation on how to grow and cook with herbs from your North Texas garden.
