Available Part Time Positions:
Crossing Guard: Part Time $10.50 hourly
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to ensure the safety and welfare of children when crossing roadways at designated school crossing sites. Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred supplemented by little or no previous experience or training; with a level of maturity and judgment that demonstrates the ability to provide safe crossing for school age children; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Bus Driver: Part Time $12.00 hourly
Under the general supervision of the Recreation and Leisure Services Manager, this position serves as driver of all City-Owned passenger buses used for recreational programming as required. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Requires general knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, safety procedures, and over the road rules and regulations. Must be proficient in automotive terminology and know the location of various vital components of a bus. Must pay special attention to detail when driving, especially to low overhead obstacles when driving a large vehicle. Requires the ability to occasionally lift objects weighing 40 lbs or more, and must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Must be able to work with the public and remain courteous in stressful situations. Must be able to work flexible hours (nights and weekends).Requires written and verbal communications skills. Must have the ablility to operate a larger than standard length, height and weight vehicle. Must be able to observe and obey all road signs. Must posess a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement. Requires the ability to acquire First Aid and CPR certification within the first three (3) months of hire date.
